Kat is a Consultant Forensic Psychologist (HCPC Registered), Chartered Psychologist, Chartered Scientist, and Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society. She specialises in diagnostic assessments for Autism Spectrum, learning disabilities,  ADHD, trauma, personality disorders, as well as complex mental health. 
 
Kat takes a compassionate, person-centred approach, ensuring that clients feel listened to, and heard, whilst adhering to the structure of standardised assessments. She works with children, adolescents, and adults, with her particular expertise and passion being autism spectrum, ADHD and learning disability diagnostic assessments. 
 
She has gained extensive experience from multiple specialist services, including NHS child development centres, CAMHS, secure hospitals, the prison service as well as in private practice. She has developed, led and supervised dedicated autism, ADHD and learning disability diagnostic services for the NHS and private sector and held NHS contracts to support the waiting lists for autism assessments. Kat is fully trained in the ADOS, ADOS 2 and ADI-R for autism spectrum, the DIVA for ADHD and delivers the Weschler scales (educational assessments) and holds a Certificate of Competence in Educational Testing. As a Clinical Director, managing multidisciplinary teams , Kat leads on diagnostic assessments and therapeutic interventions, including EMDR. She is also an experienced expert witness, providing evidence in her areas of expertise.
 
As a Clinical Director, she has managed multidisciplinary teams involved in both diagnostic assessments but also therapeutic interventions. In addition, she has been an expert witness for Court cases since 2014 and provides assessments and reports, in her areas of specialism, to assist the courts with fully understanding the the individual she has assessed. 
 
Over the years Kat has also delivered training on neurodiversity to professionals and organisations and also developed a CPD-accredited course for the British Psychological Society. 
 
She is also an EMDR practitioner and has trained in multiple therapies, including  CBT, compassion focused therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy and solution focused therapy.  
 
Kat is currently completing her PhD in Education with a focus on Immersive Technology and how this may enhance the learning experience and academic performance of students, particularly within the neurodivergent population) in the classroom.  She expects to complete this in 2026.
